Born to the Maran scouts that were gathering
information on the Federation, Tyler has spent most of his life
living among humans. His mother was a weapons designer and his
father a security expert. He, like the rest of the Maran population
was taught combat skills from a very young age. Tyler showed
exceptional skill with a phaser, and any other sidearm he was given.
His parents saw action at the Battle of Wolf 359. Unforantly, they
would not survive. His parents where killed, and he was shipped back
to Earth. Although the Maran Navy knew of this, they decided to let
him continue living among the friends he had made. When he was old
enough, he enrolled in Starfleet. Tyler has vowed to make sure that
no one else suffers at the hands of the Borg like he has.
Starfleet Career/Background:
Tyler raced through the academy at a near
record pace. He excelled in all areas, but his natural strength and
physical prowess made him ideal for the security division of
Starfleet. He also seemed at home in control of the weapons of a
starship.
Tyler took every single hand to hand combat course the academy had
to offer, and did quiet well in all of them. Although, like Josh he
developed a love for the ancient fighting style known as kick
boxing. He also developed a love of the gym like Josh, and is rarely
seen not doing some sort of physical activity in his off hours.
His first posting was aboard the Saber class starship, the Firefly.
The ship saw action in several skirmishes with Breen privateers,
but her true test would come when the Federation was brought into
the war with the Dominion.
The Firefly saw action in several minor battles, and several major
ones as well. She was part of the evacuation force that attempted to
flee Betazed when it fell to the Dominion. The ship was caught in a
firefight and destroyed, but Tyler and half of the crew managed to
make it to escape pods. They crash landed, and evaded Dominion
search parties. They ended up causing major damage to the Dominion
forces stationed there.
Because of his brave actions, Forge was inducted into the Knights a
very elite set of warriors on the Maran home world. At the time of
his induction Tyler had yet to choose a new name for himself based
on the Maran Gods, like most Knights do.
When the war was over, Tyler was promoted to Lt. and assigned to
help with the re-arming of Deep Space Nine. About that time, the
Maran's made themselves known, and many were surprised to find that
Maran's were in Starfleet, including Tyler. When he heard about the
opening on the Navajo for the security chief he applied and got the
job.
Shortly after his posting to the Navajo, the ship came in contact
with the Borg and Tyler was on the strike team that went after the
Navajo's commander. He lost his arm in duty and while re-cooperating
choose Ardon, the Maran Angel of Protection and Mercy for his new
name.
Though unbeknownst to most members of Starfleet, including his
commanding officer, Ardon was selected to begin training for a brand
new elite commando team compromised of Maran/Klingon/Federation
personal. During a mission to stop a Romulan renegade; Ardon was
presumed dead. He was really beamed out of the doomed Romulan vessel
moments before it exploded.
During his two year hiatus from the Navajo, Ardon received
additional combat and intelligence training. He also underwent
intense physical conditioning as well as mental conditioning,
tunning his mind and thoughts to that it would be harder for a
telepath or a empath to sense his feelings or thoughts.
Ardon also undertook advanced piloting training, adding another
skill to his already impressive bank of abilities. After his
training was complete, the elite commando shadow ops units, no known
as simply the ?Shadow Walkers? were dispatched to various ships and
units.
Hoping to rekindle the relationships that Ardon had on the Navajo,
he requested that he be transferred their under the guise of the
ships new chief flight operations officer. The only ones that know
his true purpose for being aboard however, is the CO and the chief
intelligence officer.
